Graaf van Portland
Eat&Drink in Buytenland van Rhoon
Graaf van Portland becomes one of the entrances to the new recreation area Buytenland van Rhoon. In the spring and summer you as a visitor go through a wild splendor of flowers and grasses before reaching the establishment. The sown field edges zoom the spot and attract all sorts of bees and butterflies. Around the pavilion, hedges, wood edges and fruit trees have been planted that provide the necessary variety and provide a breeding ground for different birds. You can see, feel and taste the richness of the area here!
Because of its location in the corner of the Portland polder, this spot forms a linkage between the inner and outer dike area. A place where people change from car to bike or continue on foot to relax and enjoy the environment. For families with small children there is a large natural playground next to the pavilion. The pavilion fits architecturally in its surroundings. A sheltered and semi-covered terrace ensures that visitors can also sit outside in the early and late season with a view of the ancient polder landscape.
